What is the Wake Forest Online Immersion Program?

The Wake Forest Pre-College Online Immersion Program helps high school students explore subjects to get a head start on college. This online learning experience fits seamlessly around your busy schedule and is built around independent discovery.

You can choose from three flexible cohort lengths depending on your personal availability throughout the calendar year: 1-Week, 2-Week or 4-Week Sessions. Every cohort features identical course materials, instructional depth and mentor support regardless of the duration you choose.

Within each course, you will watch dynamic video lessons designed by renowned Wake Forest University faculty and hear from active industry experts. You will complete your asynchronous coursework with the direct support of an assigned mentor and finish your experience by creating a Final Capstone Project.

Upon successfully completing all curriculum requirements, you will earn an official Certificate of Completion from Wake Forest University—providing an academic milestone to highlight on upcoming college applications.

How does the Wake Forest Online Immersion Program work?

Flexible Learning

This program allows motivated high school students to study anywhere, anytime and at your own individual pace. Since there are no required live meeting times or fixed logging windows, you possess total authority over your learning schedule—enabling you to balance around your existing high school coursework or extracurricular activities.

Personal Industry Mentorship

Independent learning does not mean navigating your studies in isolation. Throughout your chosen cohort, you gain access to dedicated mentors who guide your learning experience and help you understand assignments. You will also hear from working professionals who offer real-world context regarding how your academic theories apply to modern industry challenges.

The Final Capstone Project

Your learning journey culminates in an independent Final Capstone Project designed to showcase your new skills. Rather than sitting for a traditional exam, you will demonstrate your understanding by creating a presentation, case study or project layout in a creative format. Upon successful completion, you will earn an official Certificate of Completion from Wake Forest University.
