In this interactive session, you'll work with your peers to "Monday morning quarterback" an actual treatment plan from the perspectives of both the athlete and their healthcare team. Jump in the replay booth to review an actual injury and treatment plan, then work in breakout groups to debrief each stage of the injury, evaluation, treatment, and rehab, including what your group might have done differently.
Hear about exciting news stories from the leading edge of sports medicine as research and technology continue to advance our ability to push the envelope of athletic peak performance.
Surgical instruments are extensions of a surgeon’s brain and hands. In this session, you’ll examine surgical tools up close with Dr. Mark Hill. He'll show you which instruments are needed in various sports-related surgeries and how he uses them.

In this interactive session, you and your peers will tackle a case study and apply what you've learned so far in the course to a real-world example from one particular field of sports medicine. In small groups, you'll work as "team physicians" to delve into a recent athlete's injury, come up with an evaluation and treatment plan, and have the opportunity to present back to the larger group.
Dr. Hill provides a unique perspective as a surgeon who's treated professional athletes in the Chicago area. During this session, you'll get a detailed look into specific sports injuries such as dislocations, concussions, and even intra-abdominal injuries. You'll also hear about taking care of famous athletes and the nuances of their care.
